The blog c-opera.net serves as a notebook to composer Mathis Nitschke. Since he started out composing operas he is convinced that opera should and could be the art form of our time. Whenever he stumbles upon an interesting production from the recent 10-15 years he will post it here on this blog. I hope it is as inspiring for you as it is for me.

c-opera.net is named in honour to the now dead email list c-opera which was tremendously helpful to Mathis Nitschke during his years trying to figure out what to do with an opera commission.

Yes, I do copy and paste texts from the source websites for the production posts, those are not articles written by me. However, article posts are written by me.
